The Project
This piece showcases the integration of playful character motion with a refined corporate identity. The goal was to create a seamless transition that preserves brand energy while meeting the highest standards for digital accessibility.
Technical Highlights
Synchronized Motion:
I mapped the animation’s "hit points" to the orchestral score, using the woodwind and brass sections to drive the character’s flight path and final brand reveal.
Brand Continuity:
Developed a clean transition into the Ellen signature, ensuring the final frame provides a clear, high-contrast focal point for brand recognition.
AODA Compliance:
Designed with Universal Design principles. Rather than just tagging the audio, I used descriptive captions to convey the tone and texture of the sound (e.g., grumpy mumbles and friction squeaks).
The Goal: Emotional Equity
By "burning in" these descriptive captions, the video ensures an equitable experience for all viewers, including those who are Hard of Hearing. The text is optimized for readability, ensuring the personality of the character is never lost, regardless of how the media is consumed.
